The history of Guinea Pigs runs back to the Miocene period. They were brought to Europe in the 16th century, and massed breeding began in the 20th century. Guinea Pigs originated in South America, and they can still be found in the wild. There are two categories of them: solid-colored Selves and varied Non-selves, which occur in different colors. Guinea pigs are sociable and rather good at escaping from enemies.
