There are three types of Cottontails: Mountain Cottontail, Desert Cottontail and Eastern Cottontail, which vary in size. All Cottontails feed on vegetation, and they can be a real problem for farmers. Cottontail Rabbits are tweedy brown on the sides and the back and white on the belly. They are very prolific, and it has been estimated, that a female can produce enough bunnies to populate a medium-sized city.
