There are about 20 different species of Chipmunks in North America. They feature long tails, reddish-brown fur on their sides and white fur on their stomachs. They have two white strips, which border on black ones, one running down the middle of the back, and two edging the white ones. Chipmunks feed on berries, nuts, fungi and seeds. They are always amusingly busy and they are easily approachable.
