Another good way of purchasing a cavy is to purchase it from a rescue organization. Many cavies, as well as other animals, unfortunately become abandoned or homeless through no fault of their own every year. Every animal is examined thoroughly on their arrival to a rescue house. Not only animalsí health is examined, but their temper as well in order to ensure their suitability as a pet for a new owner.
