Chinchilla mating is pretty simple; this rodent looks pretty cute in a photo.
Gestation period usually lasts for 111 days. It is recommended to have a “nursery cage” to keep there a pregnant female for two weeks or more before the event. The floor of the cage should be leaned with hay. Be sure that the female has enough water and food.

These rodents usually breed in winter. As a rule they produce two litters of one to six young. A female should be at least eight months old to be ready for breeding and should weigh 450 grams before they are bred. Chinchilla mating is pretty simple; this rodent looks pretty cute in a photo.
